Favorite Things

Love is in the air and we want to share our current favorite things.

We learned about Effax's Leather-Cream-Soap at AETA (American Equestrian Trade Association) last year and couldn’t wait to try it. Why? Well, let’s start with the easy access. Pop the hooked top off the Flic-Flac bottle, attach it to the other end, and hang it. Then, give it a quick squeeze and the cleaner/conditioner is in your hand and ready to be applied. No water required and, since it’s both cleaner and conditioner, you don’t have to wipe it off. Won’t stain other equipment, either. It is my new go to for all of my leather goods.

Big bonus? Not only does it smell good – it makes your hands feel wonderful!

Theo has been having a rough time with the very wet winter. He had two abscesses in one hind hoof and ripped off a shoe on one front hoof in the last month. As he has been healing I tried the Effol Winter Hoof Gel. I love their Summer Hoof Gel, and my farrier had seen a huge improvement this summer when it was so hot and dry, so I thought I would give it a try.

It has been amazing. In two weeks, his hoofs are in much better shape. His cornet bands and hoof quality are greatly improved. I love the smell and it has been good on my cuticles as well.
